FxMagnetic Flow Trader Debuts with Multi-Strategy Moving Average Automation for Forex and Prop Firm Traders

Dubai, UAE – August 31, 2025 — A major update from FxMagnetic has introduced a new tool to its popular trading automation suite. The newly launched FxMagnetic Flow Trader offers traders the ability to test and automate strategies based on a variety of moving average models, all within the MetaTrader 4 platform.

The release is part of FxMagnetic’s broader Version 1.5.1 update, which also brings enhancements to trade filters, platform stability, and risk-handling mechanics. The new app is now available globally and is aimed at both individual retail traders and those managing capital through proprietary trading firms.

This development is especially timely as traders seek more structured and efficient ways to build strategies that comply with strict prop firm risk rules and changing market conditions.

Supporting Popular Moving Average Trading Styles

FxMagnetic Flow Trader is built around four widely used trading methods:

  • Dual MA Crossover
  • MOMO Strategy (as seen in strategies by Kathy Lien)
  • Price/MA Crossover
  • MA Pullback (used in setups like Linda Raschke’s Holy Grail)

These approaches allow for flexible configuration and can be combined with advanced filters to tailor trades to specific market environments. The software enables traders to backtest thousands of variations, view performance metrics visually on the chart, and deploy automated execution—all without custom coding.

The app also supports direct integration with the FxMagnetic Autotrader, allowing trades to be managed with stop loss, take profit, and multi-position logic.

Enhanced Filtering for Better Strategy Control

Version 1.5.1 also includes a new filter called FxMagnetic SR Levels, which uses previous day’s price points—Open, High, Low, and Close—to define potential support and resistance areas. This filter helps limit trades to key price zones, enabling more precise and disciplined entries.

Other universal filters introduced in this release include:

  • MACD Histogram Direction Filter – Aligns trades with bullish or bearish momentum.
  • ADX Strength Filter – Allows trades only in strong trend conditions.
  • ATR-Based Volatility Filters – Tailors trading decisions to periods of rising or falling volatility.

These filters are available not only in Flow Trader but also across all compatible FxMagnetic tools updated to version 1.5.1 and above.

Platform Updates Improve Reliability and Execution

To ensure smoother automation and compliance with broker execution requirements, the FxMagnetic team introduced several platform-level improvements:

  • Trade Exit Time Fix – Ensures trades are exited at the correct configured time, including when synced to the indicator.
  • Error 133 Handling – Automatically halts retry attempts if a broker rejects a trade due to disabled trading, helping avoid potential violations.
  • Artificial Spread Simulation Improvements – Creates a more accurate backtesting environment by applying realistic spread values.

The Hull Shield trade filter, used in conjunction with Flow Trader and other apps, also received a critical stability patch. Users are advised to update to version 1.0.2 to avoid crashes when using it in the new release.

Building Smarter, Safer Trading Systems

According to the FxMagnetic development team, Flow Trader continues the platform’s mission to make strategy creation and optimization more accessible for traders around the world.

“Flow Trader is built for traders who rely on moving average structures but want the flexibility to test multiple setups and apply filters without technical barriers,” said a team spokesperson. “It’s part of a broader push toward data-driven, automated trading that supports both freedom and structure.”

FxMagnetic Flow Trader is offered as a separate product or included free with the ULTRA Plan and FxMagnetic Mastermind membership.
